The Stall Shi*fter®
|
The Brockwood Stall Shi*fter product
history.
Harry
Hopkins, the inventor, and the Original
Wooden Stall Shifter that went to the John Lyons Ranch in Parachute, Colorado for a two year evaluation
With
hundreds of satisfied users
we continually look for ways to increase reliability and improve
performance. As a result of customer input and my wife Anabel's
request
for a lighter, more female friendly model, I designed the "Little
Shi*fter", a rugged, low maintenance, automatic manure and bedding
sifting system. It is a single speed, 340 rpm sifting machine that was
designed for smaller stables ranging from one stall to ten stalls where
sawdust or other very fine beddings are used.
Anabel Hopkins with her Little Shi*fter We
call it "Little
Shi*fter" because of its size. It takes the same room to store as
a standard wheelbarrow and is collapsible for easy transportation.
It's
easy to handle, quiet and maneuverable. Swivel wheels in back
make it easier to move around than a shopping cart. You can turn it
completely around in an aisle five feet wide. Its all steel
construction with baked on powder enamel inhibits rust for a lifetime
of use.
The SCR
speed control gives the operator the option of slowing down or speeding
up the sifting speed to match stall conditions and improve efficiency.
We generally recommend the Variable Speed Little Shi*fter for customers
with more than ten stalls who use wood pellets or fine shavings.

Survey
results prove that your total investment in a Stall Shi*fter can be
recovered in as few as 3 months in a ten-stall stable.
It's an
investment that will continue to pay you back many times over for years
to come. Details
of this survey. One of my first model original Stall Shi*fters underwent a 2-year evaluation for John Lyons at his ranch in Parachute, CO. A very favorable article published in the December 1999 issue of Lyons' Perfect Horse Magazine summarizes the results of the test. It reads: "..we
tested this product extensively, and found that using it saved time,
effort and shavings.... we found the dirtier the stall, the more you
see the advantage over hand-picking. We found we ended up with a
cleaner stall.." All Brockwood Stall Shi*fters are built with high quality heavy duty materials to provide years of dependable operation. All metal parts have a baked enamel finish or are galvanized. Nuts and bolts are nickel plated. The screen is driven by an industrial grade Leeson gear drive motor. All parts are made in the USA and assembled in our shop in Nashville, IN. Each machine is fully assembled and tested prior to shipment. Stall
Shi*fters come with a TWO YEAR
WARRANTY on all parts and labor.
